Is there any more rotten and useless institution in America than the university system? You'd be hard-pressed to find one after the scenes that have played out across the country following Hamas' slaughter of 1,400 people in Israel.
Pro-Hamas protests have become a staple of academia, with students changing genocidal slogans like "from the river to the sea." Administrators have been loathe to respond, apparently fearing the backlash.
Weakness begets more aggression, and now anti-Israel students at Stanford are delivering their demands. To put it succinctly, the letter is the absolute state of academia, and it's not good.
Stanford’s anti-Israel students released a list of demands to the school admin:

- Condemn Israel
- Pay to get them lawyers
- Boycott all Israeli products
- Pay for 24/7 trauma counselors
- Pay for round trip visits after war ends for them to go visit friends or their family… pic.twitter.com/nPeWPfitC3
I can't help but read that and think how ridiculously, unjustifiably fragile these people are. We are talking about students at one of America's more prestigious universities, many of them likely on scholarships, and they are acting as if they are living in grass huts, oppressed and downtrodden. It's the perfect illustration of how corrosive the grift of victimhood can be.
These students want round-the-clock "trauma counselors" for instances of trauma they haven't suffered. They want the university to pay for their travel so they can visit friends and family. They want lawyers paid for and provided to them, apparently so they can then sue the school.
Further, they want Stanford to participate in the antisemitic boycott, divest, and sanction movement, which seeks to strangle Israel financially in order to bring about its downfall. Lastly, they want a free hand to skip class, take over the campus, and protest in ways that send a shiver down the spine of any Jews on campus.
Here's what needs to happen, and if it doesn't happen, Stanford might as well close up shop. The university needs to tell these people to pound sand, and if they don't return to class and stop their disruptions, they need to be expelled. That's the only way to reestablish order and stop these pro-terrorist factions on campus.
Obviously, Stanford isn't alone either. Universities all over the country have to take action, if for no other reason than to preserve their donors. If they don't, you are going to see millions and millions of dollars pulled from these schools. Honestly, that might be the best thing given how much rot exists.
