To the excitement of essentially no one, Joe Biden has announced that he’s running for another term as President of the United States. Instead of announcing in front of a group of supporters like a sentient politician would, Biden released a highly-edited video playing on the themes of January 6th and battling for the “soul of the nation.”

In other words, the president is going to rehash his 2020 campaign, except January 6th is now replacing Charlottesville as his “extremist” trope. The quasi-religious claim that only he can heal the soul of the nation leads to the obvious question of why he hasn’t gotten around to that already.

But I digress, the fact that a man who will be 82 years old on inauguration day is running for re-election leads to some obvious questions and concerns. For example, who pushed Biden, who is in a clear state of mental and physical decline, to sign up for another go around?

Well, wonder no more, because the prime suspect was indeed behind it (Politico).

In the months before Joe Biden formally announced he’d make a reelection bid, she had no such reservations.

Privately, the first lady encouraged her husband to run again while giving him the space he needed to process the decision in the way he traditionally does: with extensive deliberations, consideration of the burden it would place on his family, and a bit of classic Biden hemming and hawing. She was involved in all the high-level discussions around the decision, giving counsel when she felt it was necessary.

“She is usually in the room when senior campaign staff are presenting strategy to her husband. She will ask questions. But she never weighs in on the decision,” said a former senior Biden adviser.

You didn’t have to be much of a political expert to see this one coming. Since the moment Joe Biden announced his 2020 presidential run, it was obvious who was standing behind him, shoving him forward. I remember writing articles like “Jill Biden Is the Candidate Now, and Everyone Knows It” in the months leading up to the election, and I’ve only been proven more correct as the years have drug on.

Jill Biden is insanely ambitious, and she’s got tastes that only the highest office in the land can satiate. One might recall an infamous photograph taken on the way to Joe Biden’s first G7 appearance in which his wife is seen busily going over briefing books as if she were the president. Then there’s Jill Biden’s penchant for showing up for interviews, operating as her husband’s protector.

She isn’t leaving the White House without a fight. Especially given that the Biden Family’s political connections have made her so fabulously wealthy. Besides, she’s in charge, and it’s not really a secret.

No one in the press will ever have the guts to tackle the subject, but it’s pretty gross for a wife to treat her husband this way. Joe Biden is senile. He shows more and more evidence of that every single day. A second term for his administration would be downright dangerous for a variety of reasons.

But Jill Biden doesn’t care. She gets treated like royalty while blowing an untold amount of taxpayer money. Who would want to give up that gig? Still, you’d think some semblance of shame and care for her husband would cause her some introspection. I guess not, though, and the country will continue to suffer while Jill Biden lives high on the hog.
