Democrat Lawmaker Drops Expletive-Laced 'Bigoted Slur' in Hysterical Defense of 'Assault Weapons' Ban

Remember when John Cornyn and other Republicans compromised on gun control earlier in the summer, defusing the issue and getting Democrats to back off their insane push to violate the Constitution? Yeah, me neither because that’s not at all what happened. Instead, as predicted, Democrats used the next mass shooting to immediately insist, again, that we must “do something.”

Sure enough, on Friday, Democrats in the US House of Representatives voted to ban so-called “assault weapons” in perhaps the most extensive move against the Second Amendment in the nation’s history. The bill, which will now hopefully die in the Senate, would ban the sale of commonly used rifles in a vain attempt to stop mass shootings.

That’s the setup for one of the most incredible responses by a US lawmaker I’ve ever seen. Rep. Chuy Garcia (D-IL) got really triggered by a random Twitter account criticizing the bill, leading to this hysterical response.

The tweet was quickly deleted two hours later, but as they say, the internet is forever. What in the world was Garcia thinking? Doesn’t he know that you can’t say the “r-word” in polite society anymore? Surely, he will be cast into the abyss and canceled over this grave offense, right? Or perhaps he’ll just blame things on an overzealous staffer, which is the go-to excuse for any politician who gets in trouble on social media.

But really, is it at all surprising that someone who uses the “weapons of war” phrasing, as Garcia did in his original tweet bragging about the ban, would be stupid enough to lash out against a nobody with an expletive-laced slur? There is no dumber anti-gun slogan. All guns are “weapons of war” if they are used to…and stick with me here…wage war.

Single-shot muskets are weapons of war. Handguns are weapons of war. Bolt-action rifles are weapons of war. That is not a delineator that means anything at all as far as justifying bans on guns. In fact, the Second Amendment explicitly exists to protect the possession of weapons of war in order to wage it. So really, if you want to get technical, anyone shrieking “weapons of war” is defending their legality.

To get more to the point, Garcia, like so many on the left, is nothing but a virtue-signaling know-nothing who doesn’t care one bit that his prescribed policies are both tyrannical and ineffective. Imagine thinking that you can just ban a certain type of gun and then mass shooters will shrug and go get a job. It’s that level of vapidness that leads to the hysterical reaction Garcia gave. He’s got no actual argument. He has no data to back what he supports. He foams at the mouth because that’s all he can do.
