Well, this brings back fond memories of past Twitter snipes and delusional conspiracy theories.

CNN’s Asha Rangappa is at it again. If you don’t remember her, she was at the forefront of Russian collusion truther-ism, posing as an “expert” on FISA procedures despite only spending enough time at the FBI to learn how to make coffee. She’s one of a long list of people who’ve parlayed their minimal government experience into a paid contributor gig on a cable network. Because the real experts end up on CNN instead of, you know, continuing to do the jobs they claim to be experts at.

Anyway, Trump is apparently colluding with the Russians again or something.

Daniel Dale is also a CNN employee, so you can see that they only hire the best people.

In reality, Trump did not say he was hoarding ventilators to give to Russia. Here’s what he actually said.

Keep in mind, these are the same people who are defending China, yet they want to go all Russian conspiracy theory over the mere mention that Moscow might get a few ventilators along with dozens of other countries. Makes sense, right?

On the facts, Trump is also in good standing here. There is no shortage of ventilators in the United States, mainly due to states like New York massively overestimating how many they would need. As long as we keep our national stockpiles well charged, there’s nothing wrong with helping out other countries at this point. That’s been the call all along: To make sure we have what we need so that we aren’t overwhelmed and taken out of the fight, then do what we can for others.

CNN is so broken, though, that their contributors take that as some kind of dog whistle to Putin. It’s insane, but completely expected.
