Compare and Contrast: Biden's 'Transgender Day of Visibility' Easter to Trump's Faith-Focused One

Oh, what a difference a year makes. What a difference a president makes.

Remember Easter 2024? Then-President Joe Biden declared it “Transgender Visibility Day." This holy time is revered by billions of Christians around the world as the day to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion. For Biden to declare it a time to honor a complicated and divisive social issue tells you all you need to know about him.

Now, before all the self-righteous fact-checkers descend on me, I will make clear that Biden did not try to redefine Easter. It was a happenstance of the calendar:

Transgender Day of Visibility has been celebrated on March 31 since 2009, when the holiday was created. Every year since becoming president, Biden has issued a proclamation around the observance on that date. It was a coincidence in 2024 that the day corresponded with Easter Sunday, which falls on a different date each year.

Okay, fine, but he was the commander-in-chief of the most powerful nation in the world—who cares when the “international community” celebrates this “holiday”? He could have said, we’re moving that to next week in honor of one of the most ancient and influential religions in human history—but he did not. So choke on it, fact-checkers, he did in fact declare that Easter Sunday as the “visibility day,” regardless of your “context.”

If it had fallen on Ramadan, you can bet Ole Joe would have figured something out.

This year, things are a whole lot different.

Proclaiming Easter 'Trans Day of Visibility' Is About Something Far More Sinister Than Politics

The contrast between the two presidents is hard to miss, as Michigan GOP Sen. Mike Rogers noted:

What a difference one year and true leadership can make! Wishing you all a blessed Easter!

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Tuesday noted that this president is taking a completely different approach:

Leavitt:

...the president promised millions of Christians across the country on the campaign trail that he would create a White House faith office when he returned to the White House, and he has delivered on that promise.

The White House Faith Office has put together an extraordinary week-long celebration currently underway for the Holy Week ahead of Easter Sunday. The president signed a Holy Week proclamation, filmed a special presidential video message, and will be hosting a pre-Easter dinner tomorrow night and a White House staff Easter worship service on Thursday.

The president and the first lady are honored to continue the tradition of the White House Easter egg roll, which will take place on the South Lawn next Monday.

It’s a little different than this, isn’t it?

Report: Democrats Just Want Joe Biden to Go Away Already

Trump, who has said on numerous occasions that his faith in God increased after he miraculously survived an oh-so-close assassination attempt in July ’24, had this message for believers:

To all those non-Christians, believers in other faiths, agnostics, and atheists, I say you are welcome to your views. Our country was built on the concept of freedom of religion, and all patriots honor and respect that.

On the other hand, making a mockery of one religion in particular is beyond the pale and is just one more reason why we’re glad to see Joe go.

But forget him—enjoy the day, honor and celebrate it as you see fit, and know that we are in a better place than we were just one short year ago.
