As we’ve reported, the Democrats have increasingly resorted to profanity, personal attacks and even xenophobia in their desperate attempts to regain relevancy after their shellacking in the November elections and their cratering approval ratings.
The latest to jump on board this train is House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who, as I’ve written, has the magnetism of a newt. He tries to talk tough and get some cred, but mostly he just comes across as juvenile and rather underwhelming at bullying.
Warning: Implied profanity:
Hakeem, triggered by the fact that the Department of Defense is reviewing what books should be at the U.S. Naval Academy, tried to get cute with the diversity, equity, and inclusion acronym but mostly just ended up looking silly:
These DEI hires in the Trump administration, like Pete Hegseth, the so-called Secretary of Defense – Dumb Effing Individuals – continue to try to test our resolve and cancel our history.
Ooh, see what he did there! He used DEI in a fun and a fun and clever way—"dumb effing individuals.” Ha ha ha!
How pathetic.
He continued to go on quite a tear, reverting to the Dem now boring old standby of calling everyone who disagrees with them Nazis and White Supremacists:
“Apparently for these extremists, racist Nazi ideology and White supremacy is okay. We’re going to keep the pressure on these extremist who continue to try to whitewash our history,” Jeffries says in the video. “We’re going to keep the pressure on until this book ban is reversed and Pete Hegseth is fired.”
Hegseth wasn’t having it, and in an appearance with host Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures,” the defense secretary stayed frosty, steered clear of schoolyard insults, and just brought the facts:
"That's how far they have fallen. It's astonishing, not surprising," Hegseth told Fox News' Maria Bartiromo.
"Of course, they don't like the fact that we're ripping DEI out of the military and making it colorblind and merit-based."

Watch:
Hegseth continued, noting the things that Team Trump is accomplishing while Dems are just whining on social media:
"If their whole strategy is… minute-long videos on TikTok to call us names while we secure the southern border, kick out Chinese influence, revive the warrior culture inside our military, that's why they lost in a historic fashion to President Trump last time, and their future looks bleak as well."
Jeffries' remarks criticized Hegseth's instruction to purge the U.S. Naval Academy's library of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)-related content.
He vowed to keep pressure on "extremists" behind the move.
Hegseth shared the latest news from several foreign policy arenas — a historic deal to deter Chinese influence in the Panama Canal and President Trump's "dead serious" effort to prevent a nuclear Iran in this week's "Sunday Morning Futures" exclusive.
Hegseth argued that the military needs to be laser-focused on new lethal technology, not social justice wars. "We're looking at all the ways in which our military academies educate and giving guidance to get rid of DEI, and I think the American people appreciate that," he said.
Hegseth 1, Jeffries 0.
