HOT TAKES: The Internet Comes for Alvin Bragg, and It's Not Pretty

Justice was served Monday as former Marine Daniel Penny was cleared of all charges in the accidental death of violent subway passenger Jordan Neely.

But the man behind the prosecution persecution, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, is still in office, and that’s a disgrace. While there are some who are outraged at the verdict and are now trying to incite racial violence—despite the fact that the incident had nothing to do with race—there are plenty of voices who think that this case never should have been brought and is emblematic of the rot in our justice system.

Many of them took to social media, and they were unsparing in their criticism of the divisive, soft-on-crime, George-Soros-backed DA:

Fox News late-night host Greg Gutfeld wasn’t shy about sharing his thoughts. (Warning: Profanity.)

Hooray for Daniel Penny and those heroes who risk everything to help others. And a more than deserved **** you to Alvin Bragg.

Internet commentator Greg Price noted something that we’ve reported on: Bragg downgraded a huge number of felony cases in 2023:

Yours truly weighed in:

The New York Post editorial board, meanwhile, called on Bragg to find a different line of work: "Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s effort to persecute Perry failed — and Bragg may, should, pay the ultimate political price for trying," they wrote.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R) agreed that it was time for Bragg to hit the highway:

As I wrote Monday when the news broke, “This verdict sends a message to George Soros-backed prosecutors across the country—Americans are tired of living in fear as criminals walk free and heroes sit in courtrooms.”

It’s a message we must keep on sending, loud and clear, that progressive politics are failing our cities and our citizens, and its adherents need to be voted out and sent packing. The sooner Bragg is gone, the better off NYC will be.
