UPDATE: Libs of Tik Tok responded Saturday afternoon after the publication of this article, in a comment on Twitter. Here’s what they had to say:
.@SlackHQ is angry that an account is working to protect childhood innocence by educating people about mutilation surgeries, porn in schools, and inappropriate adult entertainment being presented to kids.

The workplace communication app Slack permanently suspended the popular Twitter account Libs of TikTok Friday due to purported violations of its Acceptable Use Policy. Seth Dillon, CEO of the Babylon Bee satire site which sponsors LOTT, blasted the move:

Slack, owned by internet application designer Salesforce, is a program designed to facilitate communication within a company. The communications are internal, so a cancellation won’t affect Libs of TikTok’s public presence like yet another Twitter ban would. However, it will presumably make life more difficult in the office—43 percent of Fortune 100 companies use the service, so it’s clearly effective. Slack’s own description of its services:
Slack is a messaging app for business that connects people to the information they need. By bringing people together to work as one unified team, Slack transforms the way organizations communicate.
This is like AT&T saying they were canceling my cellphone account because they didn’t like my views.
But what did Libs of TikTok and its owner, former Brooklyn real estate agent Chaya Raichik, do to deserve cancellation? Mostly, the account just tweets videos of the shocking things people say on the Chinese-owned social media app TikTok. She’s drawn plenty of ire in the past for her postings, but it’s her “attacks” on Boston Children’s Hospital that have caused the most consternation.
Her crime? Posting videos of what hospital administrators actually said. An official admitted on tape that they provide gender-affirmation surgeries – i.e., life-altering, irreversible gender-changing procedures – at a children’s hospital. This revelation caused alleged threats against the facility, and many in the press and evidently at Slack have placed the blame not on the hospital, but on Libs of TikTok for posting what was actually said.

Here’s how the Washington Post described the situation:
After Raichik falsely claimed on Aug. 11 that Boston Children’s Hospital performs hysterectomies on children, the hospital received a barrage of “hostile internet activity, phone calls, and harassing emails including threats of violence toward our clinicians and staff,” the hospital said in a statement. The hospital does provide hysterectomies to certain patients over 18.
Here’s the problem with the WaPo’s slanted coverage. First, they completely ignore the video that Raichik posted, which shows the hospital official gleefully describing gender-altering surgeries at a children’s hospital. Playing someone’s words back does not qualify as “claiming” that they said something. Second, they imply any threats of violence are Raichik’s fault; however, she does not post tweets inciting violence.
If I write a story that says “Joe Biden said this,” and I include the video of him saying it, and someone has an unhinged response, am I at fault because I reported what he said?
We’ve seen this kind of corporate activism before where companies like Paypal or Venmo cancel the accounts of entities whose viewpoints don’t fit the leftist narrative. Obviously, anyone openly calling for violence should be condemned – but that’s not what this is about.
This is about powerful companies forcing their ideology on the populace, and it’s dangerous. We must keep fighting back against it.
