The announcements of new roles to fill out the incoming Trump 47 administration are coming hot and heavy this week, the most recent one happening on Friday afternoon with the official choice of North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum as the president-elect's nominee for Secretary of the Interior. There's been speculation over some of the more prominent White House positions too, including for Trump's Press Secretary, who will have the unenviable position of fending off (mostly) legacy media reporters every day during the press briefing.

Now, we have the official announcement on who the new Press Secretary is, in a new Friday press release:

The full post reads:

Mar-a-Lago, Florida — Today, the 45th and 47th President of the United States Donald J. Trump announced that Karoline Leavitt will serve as White House Press Secretary. Karoline was the Trump Campaign National Press Secretary and previously served in the Trump White House as Assistant Press Secretary.

â€śKaroline Leavitt did a phenomenal job as the National Press Secretary on my Historic Campaign, and I am pleased to announce she will serve as White House Press Secretary. Karoline is smart, tough, and has proven to be a highly effective communicator. I have the utmost confidence she will excel at the podium, and help deliver our message to the American People as we, Make America Great Again.”
