Texas AG Paxton Opens Undercover Investigation on Reports of Orgs. Secretly Registering Illegals to Vote

Border states suffer the brunt of the Biden-Harris administration's failure to secure our nation's sovereignty along the Southwestern border with Mexico, as we've written about many times, including in both Texas and Arizona. Most often, the blaring headlines share heartbreaking tales of violence against American citizens by the criminals the Democrats have purposely imported from the prisons and mental institutions of every backwater country on the planet.

But those aren't the only crimes these people are trying to commit (in addition to breaking the law by entering the country, of course). I recently wrote about the travails in Arizona in trying to keep voting reserved for U.S. citizens. As the state law currently reads, anyone who attests to be an American--without any proof of citizenship--can receive a federal-only ballot. The legal case over the law seeking to end that practice is likely headed to the Supreme Court.

We've covered the horrendous issues that the Lone Star state is forced to deal with over the illegals hopping over the border--and Texas has not waited for the federal government to decide to start enforcing the laws. There are several lawsuits that the Biden Justice Department and DHS have filed against the state, naming both Governor Greg Abbott and the Attorney General, Ken Paxton. Texas has scored some victories, as we reported earlier in 2024:

Texas is also dealing with what appears to be an attempt at voter fraud--and AG Paxton says he and his office won't sit idly by and let it happen. In a statement released on Wednesday, Paxton announced he's launching an investigation into numerous reports of organizations secretly registering illegal aliens to vote, while pretending they are simply registering eligible voters:

It read:

🚨Breaking: I am launching an investigation into reports that organizations in Texas are illegally registering non-citizens to vote.

Texans are deeply troubled by the possibility that organizations purporting to assist with voter registration are illegally registering noncitizens to vote in our elections.

If eligible citizens can legally register to vote when conducting their business at a DPS office, why would they need a second opportunity to register with a booth outside?

My office is investigating every credible report we receive regarding potential criminal activity that could compromise the integrity of our elections. The Biden-Harris Administration has intentionally flooded our country with illegal aliens, and without proper safeguards, foreign nationals can illegally influence elections at the local, state, and national level.

It is a crime to vote—or to register to vote—if you are not a United States Citizen. Any wrongdoing will be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

To explain some of the wording, the state's Department of Public Safety (DPS) offices provide the same services as the more familiar DMV in other states--where people get their driver's licenses, etc. Anyway, Paxton is right to launch an investigation on this. If someone has the proper identification to register to vote, there's no reason for them to register at a tent outside the normal place everyone else registered. The activity people are reporting smells fishy, to say the least.
