We've been sharing the ongoing attempts by the Left to sell Kamala Harris to the American people, after Joe Biden let the not-so-secret word out that he would end his campaign for reelection in 2024.
A key for progressives in that objective is convincing everyone that Harris is more popular with minority voters than former president, Donald Trump. Earlier on Friday, working toward that effort was former president, Barack Obama, and former first lady, Michelle Obama, giving Harris, the vice president and presumptive Democrat nominee, their blessing during a cringetastic, endorsement phone call:

We also saw that loveable rascal, Ragin' Cajun James Carville personifying an unwelcome downpour on the Left's jubilation parade over Harris (likely) taking over the top spot on the ticket, as my colleague Mike Miller wrote:

On Tuesday, we reported on the polling in the wake of Harris gaining the delegate pledges ahead of the convention, the numbers are not looking good for her already against Trump.
One of the Democrat polls that Bonchie included in his piece was about Michigan, where Trump leads Harris by 5:

Now, we're seeing them start up the shenanigans with how they talk about polling numbers. It comes in legacy media reporting on a new poll from the swing state of Michigan, which actually shows Trump and Harris in "a dead heat." (That's in the Newsweek story's lede.)
That is not how Bakari Sellers, a radical leftist CNN commentator/hack, tries to sell the results, though. He pushes in an X post that it's bad for Trump because, as the story's readymade headline reads: "Donald Trump Gets No Black Votes vs. Kamala Harris in New Michigan Poll"

ZERO. https://t.co/zTqlNdl34o
Here's what follows the headline, though:
The WDIV/Detroit News poll found that the presidential race is a dead heat between Trump, the Republican nominee, and Vice President Kamala Harris, the presumptive Democratic nominee—with each receiving 41 percent of support.
Among the Black voters surveyed, 82.1 percent supported Harris, 11.5 percent backed independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and none supported Trump.
The poll surveyed 600 likely Michigan voters between July 22 and 24 and has a margin of error of 4 percentage points. It is unclear how many Black people were included in the sample, but it is likely to be fewer than 100 people given that Black residents make up 14 percent of Michigan's population. [emphasis added]
Let's break this down, which almost anyone with common sense can do themselves. First, no one in Michigan is voting; this is a poll.
By trying to sell this without any context or commentary on the post, Sellers shows he is not a legit commentator; he's a clown. And we should laugh at him:
Right in the analysis, they admit, "It is unclear how many Black people were included in the sample." 🤡👇 https://t.co/gLV1PaQXHv

Second, it's clearly a ruse. It's debunked right in the poll analysis--in at least two ways. Not only does Newsweek admit that there's no way to know how many Black people answered the poll, but even if they did know, as Newsweek's writer admitted, it's likely fewer than 100 people. Take a look at that sparse sample size, too. We're supposed to take a poll of 600 likely voters seriously. Lastly, the margin of error is 4. They truly can't say for certain how many Black people said they will support Donald Trump. This is how dishonest the leftists and their media are.
You might wonder, if it's so simple to untangle these deceptive tactics, why do the influencer types on the Left keep doing it? These are people who think social media, in this case, the X platform, is reality--and they're depending on Democrats, fence-sitting Trump haters, or Independents to not click or read past the blaring propaganda in the headline. Why are they so desperate to take the chance even a tiny percentage of people will actually see the facts in the article? They are bad at this. The attempts so far to make the picture look rosy for Harris with minority voters are not faring well. But we have to be vigilant and keep calling them out.
