Well, it looks like Bernie Sanders’s campaign is getting a bit of the ol’ shot in the arm. According to Democratic primary polls, his star is rising both nationally and in key battleground states New Hampshire and Iowa.

As tracked by RealClearPolitics, Bern’s pegging 2nd place in Iowa as well as across the country — only huggy Joe Biden’s doing better (see more about the former VP’s health here).

Your rich uncle’s makin’ moves — maybe he’ll ascend to the highest office in the land and make everything free.

Personally, I’d love not to have to pay for anything.

Bernie’s chasing Joe; in the national RCP average, Biden’s hitting 27.8% with Sanders at 19.3%.

Elizabeth’s taken quite the dive as of late — she’s swimming in a sea of 15.2.

In the Iowa Democratic Presidential Caucus, Bernie’s just behind South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg. The two are neck-and-neck at 22-20%.

In California, it’s even closer — between Bernie and Joe. The senator’s got a whopping 21%, with Joe only .2% up.

In addition to all that, Bernie’s taken the lead in New Hampshire — Pete’s trailin’ him, 19 to 17.7.

The man looks to be unstoppable — all this, just 11 weeks after he suffered a heart attack.

I have to say…I’m astonished by Bernie’s rise. He seems to have not gotten nearly as much press as Elizabeth, who — in my view — wouldn’t stand a chance against Trump in a debate (here). And Joe’s been splashed with mud from Ukraine craziness for quite a time.

Kudos to Bern. Who would you like to see face Trump next year? I find it difficult to imagine a Donald-Bernie head-to-head; they’re such different types of people with radically different presentations. It’d be like the old UFC when you’d see a ninja face a kickboxer.

But maybe that’s what 2020 is, given the Dems’ relentless attack on Trump these past three years — it’s the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
