Today is March 19th. On this date in 2003, President George Bush announced that American and coalition forces were “in the early stages of military operations to disarm Iraq, to free its people and to defend the world from grave danger.” Also on this date in 2011, President Obama failed to address the nation about the beginning of operations in Libya. On this date in 1931, Nevada legalized gambling. It took a while for people to find out, because what happens in Vegas … And finally, Wyatt Earp was born on this date in 1848. It is said that on the day he died in 1929, epic mustaches the world over cried out in anguish. Consider this an open thread.
